Facilities
Department is in functional state since inception of medical college at Kota by Govt. of Rajasthan. Since then it grown in size and facility and now it has all the modern facilities to conduct all types of operations of different wspecialities including super specialities like urology, neurosurgery etc. and resuscitation. It also provide extended services to ICU, Stroke unit,Plaster room, chemotherapy unit and casualty department of MBS hospital andPainless labour facility, casualty and ICU of JK lon mother and child hospital and ICU( MEDICAL AND SURGICAL ), IPR,modified ECT procedures, radiology deptt. For MRI and casualty services of New Hospital, Medical College campus.in NHMC it conducted various superspeciality operations by newer and uptodate techniques and equipments in Urology, paed. Surgery, plastic surgery, joint replacement surgeries etc.it also provide services in cathlab.
. Department was permitted for Post graduate M.D. Anaesthesiology course in 2001 with intake of 3 students PER YEAR which was increased up to 9 students from year 2010 and later on it was increased upto 11 students from year 2014. Post graduate M.D. Anaesthesiology course was recognized from MCI New Delhi from 2007 (03, seats)., and recognised for 11 seats on 20.02.19 vide letter noMCI-88(22)/2019-MEDI/MCI/197912 dated 20.02.2019. and now it is permitted for intake of 16 P.G. seats per year. From 06.03.2018
Department also been recognized by RUHS, Jaipur to undertake 1 year special certificate course to train medical officers of Govt. of Raj to specialize them for basic anesthesia practice.
- OPD services: - in all the three associated hospitals, department has PAC clinic to carry out preoperative preparation and counselling of patients and their relatives, to conduct all types of surgeries in safe mode
Pain Clinic
In MBS hospital and NHMC hospital it also run Pain clinic for patient of chronic pain and cancer pain, where various types of blocks & TENS therapy is given.
- In patients services:- All modern anaesthesia drugs, equipments & techniques are available for safe conduct and uptodate performance of all complicated and routinr surgeries.
MBS Hospital Nayapura Kota
There are 6 regular O.T., two emergency O.T., two eye O.T., one modular neuro surgery & one plaster room in MBS hospital. All are well equipped with state of the art anaesthesia work stations & central pipeline system for gases and vaccum, monitoring gadgets and gadgets for emergency resuscitation of the patients. Various types of regular & difficult operation being performed in department of Neurosurgery, Urology, General surgery, E.N.T., Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics in MBS hospital; various laproscopic and minimal invasivesurgeries and joint replacement and artroscopic surgeries are made possible by advanced techniques of anaesthesia deptt.
Plaster room: - All day care anaesthesia procedure performed here.
Eye O.T.:- All the modern ophthalmic procedure is performed in routine hours.
Emergency & Casualty Services:- Round the clock all the emergency surgery of all department are performed here with modern anaesthesia technique & monitoring
ICU: - Repiratory and haemodynamic supportive care is provided for all type of critically ill patients. Department also taken active and dedicated participation in management of swine flu national EMERGENCY PATIENTS.
Each bed equipped with central system for gases, vaccum and modern ventilators & monitors.
JK Lon Hospital Nayapura Kota

Gynaecological and Obstetrical surgeries are being done.
Emergency & Casualty Services:- Round the clock all the emergency surgery of Gynae and Obstratics department are performed here with modern anaesthesia technique & monitoring, and management of ventilatory services to patients admmitted in ICU
New Hospital, Medical College Campus, Rangbari Road Kota
There are 6 regular O.T., 2 emergency O.T. All are well equipped with state of the ART ANAESTHESIA work stations & central pipeline system for gases and vaccum, monitoring gadgets and gadgets for emergency resuscitation of the patients.
Paediatric surgery, urology surgery, General surgery, Plastic surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, Gynaecological and Obstetrical surgery and neurosurgery (emergency services), Joint Replacement Surgeries are performed in New hospital.

extended services are also given by department in radiology (For MRI, CT ),psychiatry dept. (for modified ECT)

Recently renal transplant surgery is also going to be started.
